thoughts feelings and one
legged ducks swim around in
repeating circles
thoughts feelings and one
legged ducks swim around in
repeating circles
is it crass to ask
can spring end this dark winter
long with light and joy
parting with my shield
a turtle without its shell
I am cold and lost
to survive winter
cherish the delicate plants
name them love and trust
inch by inch spider
climbs out of persisting rain
to find bath tub; plugged
morning walkers wrapped
warm, wintry blues turning cold
grey: post-festive fog
two birds fly in the
sunrise, pink-streaked-grey above
ariel-topped chimneys
winter bare branches
dance to the cold wind and hail
patients looking out
night and frost give way
sunrise sky turquoise and gold
over the rooftops
